The Performance Hub isn’t your typical dance school. There are no exams to stress over, no competitions to chase. Just real movement, real joy, and a place where young people can find their spark. Our studio in Stourbridge is a space for confidence, community and creativity, where everyone is encouraged to move their own way.
We opened our doors to build more than just a timetable of classes. We wanted to create a home for kids who love to dance, perform, or just express themselves. A place where friendships blossom, and families feel at home. Whether your child wants to pirouette, play, or simply give something new a go, you’re in the right place.
Community
We’re big believers in showing up for each other. From our youngest dancers to our growing teens, everyone belongs here. Families make friends, kids build trust, and our events bring the whole gang together — from Christmas parties to shows to trips away.
Confidence Over Competition
We don't do trophies or tick boxes. We celebrate growth, not grades. Our classes are about helping kids find their voice, their rhythm, and that brilliant feeling of being proud of yourself.
Creativity That’s Yours
Every child is different, and we love that. We teach dance, drama and aerial in ways that let young people explore movement, storytelling and their own imagination, with no pressure to fit a mould.
Joyful Learning
We make room for silliness, spontaneity and sparkle. Because when kids are having fun, they’re learning more than just steps. They’re learning to believe in themselves.
Jess Boswell
Co-Founder | Creative Lead
Jess took her first ballet class at three and never really stopped dancing after that. She trained professionally at CPA Studios in London, then went on to perform across the UK and abroad in musical theatre shows, events and productions. But her biggest leap was realising that her true passion was passing it all on.
After completing her BA (Hons) in Professional Dance Practice, Jess discovered the joy of teaching and watching little ones grow into confident performers. She’s now fully in her element running The Hub, combining her training and vision to help shape a space that feels welcoming, inclusive and full of possibility.
What lights her up? Seeing a student who once hid at the back of class step forward, own their moment, and grin from ear to ear.

Grace Rodgers
Co-Founder | Education & Community Lead
Grace was also a studio baby — the kind who never wanted to leave after class. Her love of performing led her to train professionally, working on contracts that took her across Europe and all over the UK. Later, she earned a BA (Hons) in Dance Performance and a PCET qualification to teach.
Grace spent five brilliant years teaching aspiring young performers, then took on the role of managing a performing arts department at a local college. These days, she balances her time between family life and building a studio she wishes she had growing up — one where kids feel seen, supported and celebrated.
She’s the one always coming up with new ways to bring people together. From show weeks to social events, Grace makes sure The Hub feels like a second home.
THE HUB IS...
A studio. A second family. A place to find your feet, and then dance on them.
Whether your child is dreaming of the West End, or just wants to twirl in a tutu on a Saturday morning, there’s a place for them here. We’re proud to be different. Proud to be local. And proud of every single dancer who walks through our doors.
Let’s move, grow and celebrate together.
